Ankylose na fronttrauma

Een bijna 13-jarige jongen werd doorverwezen voor orthodontische behandeling van een Klasse I-malocclusie met getraumatiseerde 11, 21 en 22. De prognose voor behoud van deze incisieven was dubieus. bij röntgencontrole bleek externe resorptie zichtbaar aan de drie getraumatiseerde gebitselementen. Bovendien waren beide centrale incisieven ankylotisch. De behandeling en de overwegingen bij de keuze van de therapie worden beschreven.

Ankylosis after trauma in the frontteeth

A nearly 13 years old boy was referred for orthodontic treatment of a Class I malocclusion. Both the central incisors and the left lateral incisor were involved in a trauma and prognosis for preservation was doubtful. X-ray examination revealed external root resorption on all three incisors and clinically they showed ankylosis. Treatment and considerations of choice of therapy are described.
